Picnic Berry Pie

Is there anything sweeter than the sight of young children sitting in a field on a blanket in summer enjoying picnic fare? Of course, all picnics are better with pie. This one is the taste of sunshine, summer, and endless days of fun. 

  • 1 pint fresh blueberries
  • 2 pints fresh chopped strawberries
  • 1 pint raspberries
  • ¼ cup tapioca
  • 1 tablespoon butter 
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 par-baked “A Very English Crust”  (See Hungry for Home)

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Step 2: Combine berries with sugar and tapioca.

Step 3: Dice butter into small cubes.

Step 4: Sprinkle cubed butter over berries.

Step 5: Bake 1 hour or until bubbly.

Step 6. Allow to cool before serving.
